This is a story about the death of a family that had long lived in Königsberg, and then the city itself. History, one of many similar stories of the Second World War, which is difficult to explain and therefore has not been written exhaustively to this day. Many facts of those days were erased in human memory, and only their general image remained - the image of the death of the city, which stood for centuries on the banks of the Pregolya, with its castle, streets, parks, temples and bridges. The facts of that terrible event remained in the memory of an early adult young man who found himself in Siberia, like the smell of burning, the piercing howl of flying bombs, the darkness of the basements of destroyed houses, the clanking of tank tracks, the death of people close to him and slowly falling from the sky, white snow.
