The Rzhevka AR mobile application provides the opportunity to see the historical buildings of the Krasnogvardeisky district, which currently no longer exists, using Augmented Reality technology. Their three-dimensional models were created based on archival materials collected by the staff of the Rzhevskaya library.
The AP “Rzhevka” application works in two modes. You will need a phone with a free application installed and virtual reality glasses.
When you point the glasses at a special mark describing the lost monument in the "Quest in the Library" mode, a three-dimensional model appears in the virtual space. Approaching or moving away from the mark, you can examine the object in detail from all sides.
The Augmented Reality mode allows you to see a three-dimensional image without virtual reality glasses - just point the phone at the mark and a building will appear on its screen.
In the “Object History” section, you can see archived images and read brief references about the time and place of construction of the monuments that have not been preserved to this day.
