HIWPT - Higher Institute for Water and Power Technologies
With the blessing of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during the month of Muharram 1430 AH, and the initiative of the ACWA Power International, a Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) to establish a training institute specializing in International standards training for the Water and Power Industrial Sectors.
The Institute’s training programs have evolved through direct collaboration with our industry partners to ensure that the training provided is highly relevant to the entry level job description and that the skills and competences of the graduates match the plant technician requirements. Our Institute focuses on effective training of young Saudis in the fields of Maintenance and Operation with disciplines in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Process Control, so that they have the necessary skills to continue developing within the organisation. All trainees at HIWPT are company employees from the date they join the Institute.
