Seasonal Green is a program that displays the vegetables that are available during the current season . The purpose of the program is to provide consumers tips on which vegetables most useful right now. The season varies of course a bit, use the buttons at the bottom to see vegetables that are expected to mature earlier or later.
The app is best in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and possibly in other countries that have the same harvest period or import.
Normally, there is a surplus of a vegetable as it matures. Then it's a rush to ship and sell vegetables. Because of the amount and the requirement of timely delivery, this is also the time when the vegetable has the most nutrients. If you use this tool and your nose so you will hopefully eat a vegetable variation at precisely the time where both taste the best and most useful.
The program's default only vegetables that have the shortest distance delivery (because they typically delivered fastest). Vegetables that are only available on the long-range direction is when they are in season at the nearest crop establishment.
