In 2023, Latvian hospital colleagues created recommendations for empiric antibacterial therapy, gathering available international recommendations and publications. The recommendations are adapted to the epidemiological situation in Latvia. Recommendations are intended for doctors when starting antibacterial therapy, mainly in an inpatient setting.
