Metal expertise is created as part of increasing the availability of knowledge in the area of metals and alloys. The app is constantly being built with more complementary materials, and new metals and alloys, as it becomes available.
Target groups for the app are those who work with metals and alloys or have other interest in learning more about metallic materials, e.g. for further education within companies or for example at colleges.
The app contains two different packages, one of which is Basic Facts which includes an introduction, while Specialization is adapted for those who have already acquired Basic Facts and / or have previous experience.
The app and its content have been developed through various projects within the strategic innovation program Metallic Materials, a joint venture by Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency.
