Anondomela: CMSMEs adopting new normal. A heavy loss had been brought down on for the CM-SMEs due to the severe lockdown measures. They missed the boat to sell their produce on one of the major celebration terms as the “Noboborsho” the Bangla new year. After that devasting business loss, CM-SMEs expected a similar loss again on the main celebration of the country on Eid. That created tension for a large number of CM-SMEs to go nearly bankrupt.
UNDP Bangladesh Co. initiated a virtual Eid fair for the CM-SMEs facilitating sale through an open commerce platform called “Anondomela” which literally means “fair of happiness”. ekShop provided the technical and implementation support to onboard CM-SMEs and develop the platform. Honorable Speaker of the National Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, UN RR, Bangladesh Mia Seppo and UNDP RR, Sudipto Mukherjee took the honor to inaugurate the platform which creates a massive promotion. This brought new hope for the CM-SMEs to keep their business alive.
