TrimixMix is used to controll a homemade trimix stick. Ofcourse it can also be used as a nitrox analyzer.
Application uses USB HW interface to connect to two oxygen sensors. Everything about HW (schematics, PCB, firmware for arduino nano) can be downloaded from https://github.com/JureZelic/TrimixMix.
TrimixMix measures both oxygen sensors, based on the readings calculates trimix and suggests corrections of the oxygen and helium inlets.
The idea behind TrimixMix program is to separately adjust oxygen flow and helium flow reducing the problem to same level as mixing nitrox. That reduces the time needed to set correct oxygen and helium flows and increases the mixing accuracy and saves the expensive helium.
For now TrimixMix only supports oxygen first trimix stick type.
Handling pure Oxygen and/or compressed gas is dangerous so make sure that you know exactly what you are doing before performing any activity.
Mixing procedure:
1. Keep the oxygen and helium banks closed and calibrate both oxygen analyzers
2. Open the oxygen bank and set the correct oxygen flow by setting the oxygen needle valve until the correct reading on both analyzers (not the same as any of end readings).
3. Open the helium bank and set the helium flow by setting the helium needle valve until the correct reading on both analyzers.
After that you can open the dive tanks and start filling them, taking just minor adjustments on both needle valves.
