Culinary experiences make it possible to explore different destinations through contemporary cuisine and culinary heritage and are among the experiences we remember most about the place we visited. The Culinary Experiences by Uživam tradicijo app. was designed to bring Slovenian and Croatian heritage along the culinary transversal from Pannonia to the Adriatic closer to primary school students, secondary and tertiary level students and to the general public, in a modern way. The culinary transversal from Pannonia to the Adriatic was created in the “Uživam tradicijo – Enjoy Tradition” project. Culinary experiences about Croatia and Slovenia in a different, educational way informs visitors of the Culinary Experiences by Uživam tradicijo app. of dishes from the heritage of both countries, prepared in an original and modern way, offered in an attractive way, informs visitors also about raw materials used by our ancestors in their diet, about the processes of preparing these dishes.

So, the Culinary Experiences by Uživam tradicijo app. is related to the Enjoy Tradition project. The project is part of the Interreg V-A Slovenia – Croatia cooperation program in the 2014-2020 programming period and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It took place from July 2017 to the end of December 2019. The project (https://www.uzivam-tradicijo.eu/en/) is the result of the work of 8 project partners from Slovenia and Croatia: Biotechnical Educational Centre Ljubljana (BIC Ljubljana – Leading and Project Partner), PARNAS Institute for Culture and Tourism , Velike Lašče, Grm Novo mesto – the Centre of Biotechnics and Tourism, Naj Tura LtD. (Slovenia), Public Institution »Žumberak – Samoborsko gorje Nature Park«, Association for Healthy Life and Healthy Nature “Trbuhovica” Prezid, Vrsar Tourist Board – TZO Vrsar and Zagorje Development Agency – ZARA (Croatia).
The project partners continue the activities of the project even after its completion.
