Reference contains properties for 3300 steels, alloys and metals and links to GOST. All steels and alloys are stored on the device and are accessible without internet access.
The following sections are available for steels and alloys:
substitutes, classification, application, mechanical properties, hardness, technological properties, chemical composition, physical properties, types of delivery, foreign analogues, weldability, technological properties.
GOST for each brand was updated on 08/01/2020 and will be updated at least once a year. Search button for GOST in PDF format, finds GOST on the Internet and opens a link to download and view. If the font is too small for your vision, turn the gadget to a horizontal view and the font will increase.
The vintage contains the following categories: ferroalloy, structural steel, tool steel, steel for castings, heat-resistant alloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, special-purpose steel, electrical steel, precision alloy, cast iron, powder metallurgy, materials for welding and brazing , aluminum alloy, bronze, gold, magnesium, copper, nickel, tin, palladium, platinum, lead, silver, titanium, zinc and a category of 20 rare metals.
The list of steels and alloys displays: grade, GOST, substitute, tensile strength and yield strength, density, elongation, elastic modulus, thermal expansion coefficient, thermal conductivity, electrical resistance. In the settings, you can select the desired properties that will be displayed in the list (by default, the tensile strength and density are displayed).
You can add steels and alloys to favorites and create notes to them.
Reference section contains general properties for material groups. At the moment it contains: elastic modulus, shear modulus, Poisson's ratio, friction coefficients for material mates. These properties may be needed for programs such as Ansys.
The history section displays the steel browsing history. It can be cleaned.
In the settings you can customize the content of the list. Make a backup of the database with your notes and return the application database to its original form.
The search bar is multifunctional:
- to search by brand, GOST and substitute, you just need to drive in what you are looking for;
- to search by analogue, you need to write “analogue” space and the desired one;
- to search by application, you need to write “apply” a space and the desired one (for example, “washer”);
- for sorting sb, st, d5, ro, alfa, la, “rr, ee (tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, density, thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, electrical resistance, respectively).
In the main list, searching and sorting occurs throughout the entire database. In sections, by section only. This information is in the "Help" section of the application.
Internet access is required only for downloading GOST in PDF format.
Access to the SDCARD is only required to create a Backup.
