WOM diAry (digital Arianna) is a mobile application that favors the active use of the territory and participation in the events that take place in it, offering new ways of involvement, recognizing the social value of participation and keeping memory, locally and in shape anonymous, of the data necessary to receive information, reports and participation awards referring only to places and events actually frequented by the user.
diAry attributes special electronic vouchers (called WOMs) to the user, which recognize the social value of individual actions, strengthening social cohesion and rewarding active participation in local initiatives.
The application, developed by DIGIT srl in collaboration with the University of Urbino, is freely distributed. The specification and algorithms are public. The source code is available to the Open Source community. Statistical data are made available as Open Dataset.
