About Biblia del Oso
Bible King James Version - Bible Bear
The King James, also called Bible of Cassiodorus Queen or Bear Bible, is one of the first translations of the Bible into Castilian. The work was done from the translation of the original texts in Hebrew and Greek and was published in Basel, Switzerland, on 28 September 1569. His translator was Cassiodorus de Reina, Spanish religious converted to Protestantism. He is nicknamed King James by Cipriano de Valera have done the first review of it in 1602
From the original text and the Latin versions, by making his translation had Cassiodorus Queen it the previous work of Valdes (for example, his Psalms in Spanish) of Enzinas, and Perez of (the) Pineda and the Ferrariense Bible.
In 1569 the translation of Queen used the latest advances in biblical studies. For example, he used the division of New Testament verses, which had been introduced in print only a few years earlier (1550), and regretted that a new publication Peshita had come too late to take it into account.
This work has undergone many revisions as Mr. Reina Valera friend who made the first revision and then many others. The last in 1995 by United Bible Societies. Now it is known as the King James Bible.
