The Tunisian association of thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery, since its creation in 2012 continues to spread its rays of knowledge on the national and international level. It is an association that brings together three related and indissociable specialties: thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery and peripheral vascular surgery and which is in a central position compared to other learned societies because it represents the heart-lung block vessels as a pivot in the human body The diversification and stability of our events has led to an exponential growth in the participation and assistance of the medical and paramedical personnel testifying to the vital role that our association should ensure for their training. Heart surgery in Tunisia currently ranks first in Africa in terms of the number of open heart interventions per million inhabitants in Africa and our role is to support this continental leader position with all the scientific and didactic support. Our national presence is varied, and our policy of decentralization is the rule to be at the service of our correspondents where they are. Our projects reside in the consolidation of what has been acquired by the old offices and work to develop new guidelines especially in the field of research and the humanitarian field related to our specialties.
Our role is to:
- Complete the work of other academic bodies by organizing practical training seminars for young surgeons and the paramedical body
- Organize humanitarian demonstrations of sensitization and depisatge: fight against tobacco, screening for arteriopathy of the lower limbs, congenital heart disease ...
- Centralize social aid applications for so-called complex interventions
- Involve ATCTCV in research projects - Open to the creation of a national database for thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery activity.
In order to perfect our projects, we rely on our permanent partners and we solicit all those who would like to defend our cause.
