Wigan Council’s lone worker app, Tonto, has been developed to monitor the safety of our lone workers across the council.
The worker creates a session which alerts people back in the office that one of their team members is lone working. They can monitor this via an interactive portal.
Alerts are triggered at the following events:
• Lone working session expiration
• Lone worker device moves outside of a geofence
• Lone worker raising a ‘Panic Alert’
The portal displays emergency contact information and activity during an emergency situation is auditable.
Location
Tonto monitors your location in the background in the event of a location alert. Continuous use of GPS running in the background can significantly decrease battery life.
