The phlegmatic and lonely British gentleman Phileas Fogg will abandon his life of scrupulous discipline to fulfill a bet with his colleagues of the Reform Club, in which he will risk half of his fortune committing to go around the world in only eighty days using the available means in the second half of the nineteenth century and following the project published in the Morning Chronicle, his newspaper of daily reading.
He will be accompanied by his newly hired French butler, Jean "Picaporte" and will have to deal not only with the delays in the means of transport, but with the pertinacious persecution of Detective Fix, who, ignoring the true identity of the gentleman, is enrolled in all the adventure awaiting an arrest warrant from the British Crown, believing that, before leaving, Fogg stole 55,000 pounds from the Bank of England.
Phileas Fogg had said "80 days to go around the world reach and exceed". And, thanks to traveling in the opposite direction to the rotation of the Earth, he completes his trip in 79 days instead of 80, as planned; despite all the setbacks that was found.
