"IOSPRECOZERO!" is an initiative that arises from a regional loan for the recovery and reuse of surplus food and food waste. The area of Conversano, Polignano a Mare and Monopoli considered it important to participate in the initiative both to encourage the culture of "no waste" and to activate solidarity and circular economy actions. A platform and an app 2.0 for citizens and traders in the area who want to help develop solidarity actions and improve environmental sustainability.
How does it work?
Private citizen
Instead of throwing away food that is expiring or that has slight cosmetic defects or that has remained unsold, you can decide to donate it to another citizen or to a voluntary organization. Just sign up in the citizen section, publish the photos of the product you intend to donate, showing the food and the expiry date. The person concerned can contact you directly via a message, to which you will eventually confirm the withdrawal.
It is not possible in any way to sell any type of product and only food is allowed.
Trader
Register as a citizen, and send an email to info @ iosprecozero—- the form filled in with company data for the administrator to create the merchant profile. In case of approval, the profiles will be associated, in order to allow the management of both accounts.
As a trader, you can enter offers or promotions on expiring products or unsold products of the day (baked goods), always attaching photos and list price and price of the offer.
Citizens cannot contact the trader privately, but only go directly to the shop.
Do the ads have an expiration date?
All ads have an expiration time, which can be directly changed. At the end of the expiration date, the product becomes invisible, but if it is no longer available it will be the private individual or the merchant who has to delete the ad.
