About American Canasta
Play online in real-time with other players, either in teams of two or by yourself against another player.
The goal of this card game is to form groups of 3 or more cards of the same value. A combination of seven or more cards is called a Canasta. Draw cards from the deck or the discard pile and meld all your cards as soon as possible to finish the game before the others, and achieve the highest score.
The value of the cards is 5 points for the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7; 10 points for the 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K; 20 points for Aces; 20 points for the 2 (wild card), and 50 points for the Jokers (wild card).
Clean canastas are worth more than the dirty ones (with wild cards)! Block the discard pile to prevent your opponents from picking it up!
