App is clunky and awkward

The current La Madeleine app is such a nightmare to use. You can’t just open the app and log in. You open the app, tell it you want to log in so it will send you an email with a link you have to click; that opens the La Madeleine website in a browser, which asks if you’d actually like to open the app. So now I have to go through THREE apps open just to place an order? This also happens if you are ordering in store and want to use the app to pay for your order, so you can collect the Rewards points — it makes you request the email, then the browser link, then finally the app. But WiFi in the stores is always iffy, so probably you won’t be able to open all three apps in a timely manner while you are standing at the register, with a line of hungry people standing behind you. Trying to use your rewards? Good luck! Even if you had the Rewards page open at home with your reliable WiFi, then you quickly drive over, the app will probably time out by the time you get to the store, and you’ll have to request the email again. The app is also bad at counting. I was trying to order a Bakery Box of six items. I selected my six items, but it kept telling me I needed to select exactly six items. OK, maybe something is out of stock, so I selected six different items — still would not allow me to place the order. I was literally just about to press Place Order but thought I should see if there are any Rewards available — but when I clicked over to the Rewards section, guess what happened? Yep, gotta request a new email to log in to that section. Sometimes, when I am trying to use this app and get so frustrated, I realize that Panera is just one block away, and their app is super easy to use. The previous La Madeleine app was such a delight to use. I miss it so much.

Payment accepted

On the top of the payment page, it says you take discover. But when I typed my capitol one debit card, it says you don’t take discover. Please update your website.
