Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.

UPDATE - MUCH Better
Quick update and upgrade from my previous review! The Riser customer service has been incredible! After my first post, the team reached out for details of my issues. There have been 2 updates since and almost all of my problems have been resolved. I’m much happier with the GPS reliability and now look forward to using the app more often. Not quite perfect but getting there! Thanks Riser for reaching out and working so hard to correct issues!I downloaded the Riser app as it’s touted as a companion app for the Cardo communication system (LOVE the Cardo!) This is on an iPhone 15 Pro running 26.2. I have been using another app for my motorcycle rides but was excited about some of the features on the Riser app. It has a great layout with large information screens, the ability to “replay” your rides, and more. It leans more to a socialization app with the ability to post rides, add friends and groups, and engage in riding challenges. Most of my riding is done leisurely and on country roads. Maps and GPS accuracy are essential! Unfortunately, Riser has not delivered on those. The maps and GPS are VERY glitchy and very often inaccurate. I’ve plotted rides a number of different ways with the same results. I’ve asked for point A to point B travel, which works fairly well, but anything with turns throws curves to the maps. GPX downloads become a mess, so many added variations, the rides look nothing like the original. Making a route with waypoints allows for “curvy”, “super curvy”, or “direct” routing, which I saw as a plus. But don’t miss a waypoint or you are forced to go in circles! The route screens freeze at corners and either have to be skipped or the map reset. Rerouting also becomes a nightmare with the system (if it even attempts a reroute) bogging down or ignoring altogether. To be clear, I’m not so rural that the GPS is a problem, Apple Maps and other ride apps work fine. I have even had, on numerous occasions, the maps flow backwards from waypoints. My initial invitation for Riser came with a 3 day free trial. This isn’t enough time to get an accurate read if you are trying to test the system and fix issues. I had confidence that the problems I had would be resolved with the paid subscription, so I purchased a full year. Big mistake and a learning opportunity, I should have tried a month first. If I had, I would not have subscribed. Since I own the year, I’ll keep messing with Riser, but I going back to my old standby when I want an accurate, hassle free ride. I’ll update if my luck changes! Sorry Riser!
