Nice Puzzles, OK UI
This app has a ton of really nice double dummy bridge puzzles, it’s got all the tricks (pun!) you read about in the books, simplified down to their essence. A great introduction to (one aspect of) the depth of bridge. The UI is a bit clunky... you’d really like a single click to pick a card, but instead you click, wait for an animation to finish, then click again (and double that if you click where the app doesn’t have a card). The “smart play” bonus is obviously well intentioned... we want to learn good defensive technique and not let the player get off too easily. But the majority of the time it doesn’t matter, and when it does, it’s super frustrating trying to figure out which particular hopeless stategum for the defender is “smart”.
