Not up to date, had to go to Facebook
Wanted to leave truckee the morning in Feb 16, and Strom was coming. There should have been plenty of time to get out, but I-80W was closed at every on-ramp, officers stating it would be a few hours. No indication of this in the app. Had to go to truckee highway patrol Facebook page to get accurate intention about if the road was even scheduled to open and what the conditions were. Why would it be so hard to put this reason and what was closed where. We spent four hours driving around and trying to decide what to do before finding the update on Facebook that a big rig had caught on fire at 5:30am… Road finally opened again around 12:30.
