About the App

NearbyWeather is a simple weather app, that provides current weather information for nearby places, as well for bookmarked locations. NearbyWeather uses the OpenWeatherMap api to download weather data. Additionally the OpenWeatherMap's location database is directly bootstrapped into the app for quick access.
With NearbyWeather you can:
- See current weather information for bookmarked locations and nearby places via a list and a map view
- Show the current temperature on the app icon
- See detailed weather information in addition to the overviews
- Add places as bookmarks via OpenWeatherMap's weather-station data base
- Choose your preferred units (celsius/fahrenheit/kelvin & kilometres/miles)
- Access previously loaded data offline

Great Version
Was not able to use the settings button on initial configuration, but a lot of apps are having this problem with this version of iOS. I just swiped it closed and opened it back up and went to settings to finalize. After that everything works great. Set my Locations, removed Cupertino, lol, I know you need something there to start with. Really love the privacy policy. Great to see a product that is more about providing user content than the wholesale dissemination of as much information as they can possibly get their greedy hands on. There is not a ton of content in this app as compared to other weather apps so I’ll use it for a while, possibly make some requests, and definitely be sending some $upport your way and hopefully find some time to contribute on the project.

Not sure about all the negative reviews, but it works just perfectly for me. I’m even running iOS 14.2. Responsive, modern iOS design. Thanks for your work! 👍🏼
