Amino Acid Side Chain Tutor

Amino Acid Side Chain Tutor is an app designed to help you memorize the structures, names, chemical properties and features of each of the twenty amino acids.

It does this by emphasizing the features of the side chains as opposed to the structure common to all amino acids.

The structures are displayed in color to help memorize each atom in the side chain. There is special emphasis on learning which side chains have which atomic elements, which have cyclic structures, single bonds, double bonds and how many carbon atoms are in each side chain.

You will learn which amino acid is polar, non polar, positively charged or negatively charged. You will learn the the single letter and three letter shorthand codes for each amino acid.
