DK Camp is a Diamond Kinetics tool aimed at enabling easier data collection at baseball camps and showcases. The goal of the app is to provide the minimal functionality necessary for coaches to record swings with a SwingTracker sensor in high throughput scenarios. The app is paired down to a list of groups and connections for the logged in user that will allow the user to quickly find a player, record swings in that player’s account, and view a snapshot of a player’s swing history.
Session creation has been simplified to automatically populate a player’s profile with the three most common bat sizes as well as a generic load position from both the left and right side of the plate. The history page has been limited to a single view that shows only the 3 rankable showcase metrics (Max Barrel Speed, Max Acceleration, and Impact Momentum) with the option to view any of our three rangeable showcase metrics (Hand Speed, Trigger to Impact Time, Approach Angle).
A few accessory functions are also included to aid in the app’s main goal of quickly collecting information. The user is able to create a new group in which to organize players, the user can add additional players to an existing group a, the user can create a new player profile, and the user can contact support with any questions or requests.
A SwingTracker sensor is required in order to record swing data.
