About Zepp Tennis
Track your strokes for free with an Apple Watch! Your stroke and fitness statistics are just a ‘glance’ away. Lift up your wrist to see your stroke count, play time, calories, and heart rate after every swing. Your session summary includes detailed fitness metrics and a breakdown of forehands, backhands, and serves.
When you’re ready to take your game to the next level, connect the Zepp Tennis 2 sensor to your iPhone or Series 2 or 3 Apple Watch and you’ll see why Zepp is the smartest and fastest way to improve. The sensor instantly measures the most important aspects of your stroke: ball speed, ball spin, and sweet spot consistency. Strokes are automatically classified as forehands, backhands, volleys, smashes, and serves; and further sorted into topspin, drive, and slice. Detailed statistics identify your strongest strokes and the areas where you can generate the greatest improvement.
Use Smart Rally video capture with a Zepp Tennis 2 sensor and your iPhone to automatically record and edit match videos. Each rally is captured individually. Your most intense rallies and best shots are auto-tagged so you can relive and share video of your favorite moments on the court.

Disjointed and missing key features.
Review is for Zepp app as well as Head Tennis Sensor App. Biggest complaint is #8. In a way this review is unfair because it really isn’t that bad, but… Apple watch has no setting for MPH. Apple watch does not show heaviness. Online account is useless because dashboard is broken (looks like JavaScript errors) No response from feedback. Individual stroke details are not recorded like they are for the Head Tennis Sensor app (Zepp made). Head Tennis Sensor does not have an app for Apple Watch. Apple Watch feature request: Have user set parameters where watch will give vibration feedback. So, say I want to have at least 1800 rpm. And 2000+ rpm being excellent. The user would set up the watch to do a very short vibration for 2000+ rpm, medium length vibration for 1800-2000 rpm, and a long (3 pulse) vibration when under 1800 rpm. Same should be doable for speed or heaviness. Biggest feature fail/missing is that no matter how much they improve accuracy they cannot solve spurious readings from when I hit the ball back to the server or hit the ball back to players at the court next to me. Once that ~15mph lollipop FH is recorded then my averages are useless in my opinion. Give us the ability to either download the stroke details to CSV or give us an editor either online and/or the app to fix or delete strokes. Where I get the most Zepp’s tennis sensor technology is to use Head Tennis Sensor app on my iPad and record very short practices where I can be confident that spurious readings weren’t recorded. So, if I am doing a short one hour practice, I might save 4 practice settings against the ball machine and 1 session of serves. From the app, I have heaviness (missing from the Zepp app), and I have individual stroke details. Best of all I can save the results and the averages mean something. If a spurious stroke or two is recorded, I merely stop the app from recording, delete it and start a new session. However, even that is less than ideal, would be nice for the Head Tennis Sensor app to have editing as well. My guess is that the relationship between Zepp and Head have created two separate code bases where some code is shared. Also there is probably contractual stuff that prevents or hampers the features from being done well. So, if you don’t have a Head racquet, your choice is clear, use Zepp. If you have a Head racquet, use the Apple Watch and the Zepp app to record the match and give quick feedback is great but you have no heaviness recorded. If you want heaviness, where the iPhone with an armband. For practices against ball machine or the wall, use the iPhone or iPad. Sometimes competition produces good products, but in this case I fear it hasn’t. I would love to know, and for Zepp to know especially, what other users think because really in many ways this is the best sensor out there. It is so close to being a really great app/tool for tennis lovers!
