Social Studies for First Grade

Better than what I was expecting

When I downloaded this informative insight into the world of first grade social studies I was expecting disappointment but instead was filled with a kind of horror. After a long talk with my two older kids about 'personal responsibility'... (getting me this email would certainly meet that worthy standard) I am still left to wonder what happened in this poor school, or in the teacher herself. It turns out that it is my own school, but it's more than that. Maybe social studies teachers throughout the US need to have a meeting and fix up a set of standards for appropriate contact messages.
