Absolutely useless
Government of India announced in 2023 that NRE/NRO accounts with foreign telephone numbers can avail of UPI services. But HSBC is just not offering that even in 2025. HSBC is probably the worst bank for NRI services. I advice people to stay away from this bank

Can’t sign up with US number
I have an NRE/NRO account and is linked with my US phone number. This is so stupid and can’t use any other UPI apps like PhonePe 😅
