About VIAVI Mobile Tech
VIAVI Mobile Tech is a technician productivity app that automates synchronizations with StrataSync for VIAVI test instruments. Test results are automatically backed up in the cloud and new limit plans and configurations can be deployed to individual technicians from StrataSync. Up-to-date manuals, quick cards, training videos, and technical support can be accessed on demand within the app. Test results are further enhanced with geolocation data to help associate technician work with customer locations. A File Manager allows test reports to be dowloaded from the instrument and sent to other mobile apps including email. SmartAccess Anywhere codes can be shared via SMS and email. Test instrument interfaces can be viewed from your mobile device.

Battery drain
If you leave the app in the background it will drain your battery very quickly. I used the app for 1 hour today, from 9:30am to 10:30am, battery was at 80%. I went back to my office, I didn’t use my phone at all as I had a video conference call on my laptop. By 2pm, my battery was at 30%. I checked the battery usage of this app, it had been running in the background as the report shows, and it used 50% of the battery. Viavi fix this app.
