Crop, caption, collage...
You’d think it would be easy to find an app that does all three. I mean, MS Paint does and it’s 35 years old. I was using Photos app to crop, another to “collage” (really just wanted multiple pics next to each other), and then a third to caption. And then the obligatory ads that go along with each. Took me ages to get the results I wanted. I don’t use Instagram, so I didn’t think to look into these kinds of editors, but this app does what I was looking for. More included backgrounds would be cool. And more than 10 layers would be nice. But overall, it’s simple, clean, to the point, and the results are professional looking. Although every so often, whenever I try to save a pic, it closes. No reason, nothing else open, no error message, just disappears. Does this a couple dozen times then goes back to normal.

Use this almost daily, editing pics for a FB page that my friends and I have set up. Lots of fonts and the ability to curve text, add shadow, change stroke and create text gradients really makes each pic better.
