This Kana Trainer really helps you learn quickly!
Thanks to this app I was able to memorize the Hiragana e Katakana a lot quicker than if I had just tried to do it the traditional way. It throws up the letters randomly forcing your mind to remember and before you know it, you get through the characters really quickly… it’s amazing!

Needs Improvement
I downloaded this app because I wanted more practice with writing hiragana and katakana. This app does allow you to write but the system needs major improvements. First off, there’s nothing that shows you the stroke order. Which can be pretty important. Second, if you don’t write it perfectly, it automatically counts it as wrong, which is extremely problematic. I know all the “vowels” so to speak but the writing will not show me any other characters because I can’t write the vowels perfect. And it doesn’t even show you what you’re doing wrong. Duo Lingo has a feature like this that shows you the stroke order, gives you hints when you get it wrong and has a feature to trace the characters. However in Duo Lingo you can’t practice that part whenever you want. With this app you can but it’s completely useless if it only shows 5 characters. Hope there are some major upgrades soon.
