Balancing issues
The core concept of this game is certainly fun, and I like the simplicity of it. I do personally think, though, that the game certainly punishes you a bit too much for mistakes. you have to be perfect with your resources between days 20-35 (what I call the start of mid-game) otherwise you will likely die of starvation (this is around when your outpost gets to the size where hunting for deer is unreliable and you must rapidly switch to agriculture to survive). I also think that difficulty ramps up a bit too quickly with the zombies. I’m not saying to overhaul the entire blood moon system, but maybe make the individual zombie behavior a little less aggressive. Personally I think that making either the resource costs of base levels 4 and 5 slightly lower and/or making the lumberjacks and maybe the miners give a bit more of their respective resources would help the transition between early to mid game feel a bit less desperate as so many different demands clash against each other. Sorry for a whole essay.

Hard but fun
I had to restart multiple times before getting the hang of the game. When I did get used to it, I survived a long time. I’m currently on day 206 as of writing this review. Those who said it scales too hard (on the free app) hasn’t played and learned about the game enough. To put it bluntly, as of this post, id say they had “skill issues” as the current game I’m playing has lasted 4 to 5 hours. Yes it was hard, but idk if i would say if the game is impossible yet. My goal is to get to day 300 or 500. If I manage to get there I’d set my goal to 1000. The most important thing in the early game is wood, and then rush stone and then get the farms. Thats how I survived in this game so far. My storage for my farms are 14250 and population of 325 out of 350. Also, be careful on population control, especially on early game, dont populate too fast until you get the farms. Also learn about the season, know when to hunt less to conserve the deer population until needed (like during winter). You get less farm food during winter so you should hunt more during it. As long as the game doesn’t crash or glitch, it’s a 5/5 star for me.
