Unstable for Live Use + Needs some feature adds
TriplePlay hardware is so much better with tracking vs. the older generation of Roland GK gear. I REALLY need this TriplePlay iOS to work but really struggling when using in a live setting. 1/ I used the app as my primary synth on a gig just last night. The app just simply crashes randomly - did so twice in the middle of this performance. By “crash”, I mean that TriplePlay disappears, the iOS desktop appears, but TriplePlay seems like it’s still in memory b/c it’s still in the task swapping view. When you switch back to TriplePlay, it restarts. 2/ I can get TP to crash easily when editing / saving Combis. I need Combis in order to switch sounds live. But do edits on Combis with some AUv3 plugins (like King of FM and Nerd Synth) and you can crash TP in under a couple of minutes. 3/ Working with creating and editing and organizing Combis is quite clunky. When you edit an existing combi and do “Save As”, it overwrites the old one instead creating a new one? No way to organize folders, back up Combis, create set lists, etc. I can’t buy the foot controller until I know these things are coming. 4/ The App Support link here on App Store is broken! Happy to help you test any new versions. Please don’t abandon this.

Can’t play my guitar through the app!
Well, I’m trying to use the iPad TP Connect app with a Godwin TriplePlay ready guitar. I paired the dongle no problem, and can open the app and can tune my guitar and set string sensitivity without any problems, although there’s no sound while doing that. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work or not. Anyway, as soon as I press the Next button to choose a tutorial or go into the app, and I choose the Close button to go to the app, it shuts my pairing between my guitar/TriplePlay pickup and the USB dongle off, and my dongle light starts fast blinking, and immediately a message screen comes up that says “Hey, it looks like you’re not connected, etc., and then when I press the pairing button on my dongle, and it shows a solid light that it’s connected, I can’t reconnect it to the app at all. I go into settings and look around to see if there’s anywhere I can reconnect my guitar to the app, but that’s a no-go. So I can’t play my guitar through the app at all. I can hear sounds when I touch the screen fretboard with my finger just fine, and play the demo, get other sounds, etc., but not with my guitar. If someone could please help me, I’d appreciate it, otherwise I’d hate to have totally wasted my money on three products that DO NOT WORK, AT ALL! Extremely disappointed right now.
