Peters Creek Baptist Church located at 6300 Library Road, South Park, PA 15129
We appreciate your interest in Peters Creek, and we hope to see you at one of our weekend worship services. We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, so we’ve included some information about what you can expect when you visit.
Where should I go?
When you arrive at Peters Creek, there should be plenty of room in our parking lot, and welcome signs will guide you to our main entrance. You can also use the “turn-around” (the large planter with a cross) to drop off your family before you park. If you have physical limitations, there are reserved parking spots closest to the building for your convenience, and we have chair lifts available to assist you throughout our building. Just follow the signs or ask a member of our host team for assistance.
What can I expect?
Our Sunday services include a time of singing. Our worship music is led by a band (guitars, drums, piano, keyboard, saxes, with an occasional cello or banjo thrown in) and a full choir. We sing some of the very newest songs, as well as timeless hymns – anything that serves to worship our great God. Each Sunday, there is a Bible-centered message, preached by one of our pastors, which lasts about 30 minutes. You can also expect a time in our service where the church will be led in prayer and reading of Scripture, but don’t worry – our services are designed to allow you to participate or observe as you so choose. Oftentimes, we get asked, “What should I wear?” You are invited to come as you are, whether that would be in a suit or in jeans. However you feel the most comfortable is how you are invited to come join us.
What about my children?
At Peters Creek, we are passionate about communicating the truth of the Gospel to our children. So, your children, kindergarten age and younger (infants included), are invited to an age-specific environment where they will be cared for in a Bible-centered program. You can check in your children before you attend service in our Preschool department (which is located to the left of our main entrance), and then you can pick them up when you leave.
Your older children, 1st to 5th grade, are invited to join us for the beginning of our worship service. Before the sermon begins, the children will be dismissed and led to our Elementary department, where they will also be cared for in an age-appropriate, Bible-centered program. You can rejoin your elementary students after the worship service – just follow the signs in the main lobby.
