The On my own app, created within the project "Chi trova un lavoro trova un tesoro", promoted by the AIPD (Associazione Italiana Persone Down) with funding from Italian Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, offers digital support to workers with intellectual disabilities in their first experience at work, for the proper and independent implementation of activities related to a specific job..
It is a digital guide that reminds them of every single step to be carried out to complete an assigned task, the tools to be used, the daily and weekly agenda.
Images, texts, fonts and colours are the result of a study based on the criteria of accessibility and easy reading for people with intellectual disabilities. The minimal interface avoids distractions to users and allows an immediate understanding of the tasks to be performed.
The app is customizable according to the task performed, the workplace and the needs of the worker with intellectual disabilities, so it requires a configuration of the contents before it can be used by end users. In order to use the app it is necessary to request the credentials to access the management platform to: omoaipd@gmail.com . Through the management panel you can manage the profiles of workers with intellectual disabilities and customize the tasks assigned to them and the agenda.
The profile gives access to:
- daily agenda: day of the week, task to be performed and time of your shift, with the option to set alarm-notification
- weekly agenda: days of the week, tasks to be performed and timetables of their shifts
- task assigned to the individual user with textual description of the activity in high comprehensibility, accompanied by checklists (with tips) with photos and / or videos of each activity
- specific tools for the carrying out of the activity, with photos and/or videos and description.
