Game Tester is amazing but the app needs work
Like the title says, the website is great but the app has some functionality issues and doesn’t stay updated like the web version. I’ll definitely update this and give 5 stars once the mobile app is a bit more optimized.

It’s okay. As good as crowd funded work can be.
I wanted to enjoy this with all my heart, but unfortunately, because this is crowd funded it’s only useful for experience and a side gig. The game that I tested was already about to be released and it was my first time. There was little to nothing left to even report so unfortunately, there’s a lot of relative things involved with game test. If you come in on a project that’s already almost done, your feedback’s gonna be a lot harder to come up with. If the developer that read your feedback is having a bad day that can affect your rating. Way too much of this is subjective. I provided the configuration file and everything but I still got an average/good rating. I expected at least above average. I am an avid writer. I was in college level English and grammar in seventh and eighth grade. When I tested my first college placement test, I tested straight into writing 255. So I did some research on what they are looking for and unfortunately, they’re not looking for creative and good writing. They are looking for specific writing and all they really want you to do is provide step by step guides, via how to recreate bugs very specifically for them so they don’t have to do anything but follow your words. They want extreme organization like labeling bugs from minor, moderate and severe. Things like that and I’m sorry but I’m not gonna break my back writing feedback for $15. Not when I already know I’m a very good writer. It’s also been almost 2 months since I received any game test invites and absolutely nothing is happening. I’m extremely disappointed in this app and I feel like I’m not being treated as well as I should be or appreciated at all 😞. There’s like 500,000 Game Testers signed up through this so don’t expect to matter at all. If you want to do this for a living go to college. If you don’t mind waiting months on end for invites, stick around. I’m sticking around to see what happens even though I feel completely demotivated. I am someone who owns every single console, computers, and a switch 2. Yet, no invites anymore. Dear apple, please don’t discriminate my truthful, legal and fair review. People need to know what this is actually geared towards and not to put all their eggs in one basket.
