The Health4Life app has been developed as a part of the Health4Life Initiative which aims to empower young people to improve their physical and mental health and to prevent chronic disease later in life.
It has been developed by researchers at the University of Sydney, the University of Newcastle, the University of New South Wales, Northwestern University in Chicago, the University of Queensland and Curtin University.
Based on the best available evidence and aligned with the Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum and NSW PDHPE curriculum, the Health4Life Initiative encourages secondary school students to: be physically active, eat healthily, adopt healthy sleep habits, limit their sedentary recreational screen time, and to remain alcohol and smoke-free.
