It's a cash grab
So the program works really well. But it is on a pay-as-you-use basis like the old celphone plans. The basic $9.99 per month plan gives you a huge FIVE HOURS of transcription. Wow. It goes up from there to $133 yes one hundred and thirty three dollars per month for unlimited transcription. This app is all about greed.

Extortion
I tried this app as a way to communicate with my deaf father. The transcription works very well, and I started using it regularly. I was surprised and disappointed when my 5 hour time limit ran out. I was even more surprised and disappointed to learn that unlimited transcriptions were $1600 a year. There’s no reason to charge more for longer transcription time other than extortionary pricing. People need assistive technologies to maintain quality of life, but this company clearly sees that as leverage to charge an insulting amount of money. I’ll go back to Apple’s less good built in transcription while I research other apps. I hope the C suite is happy that they’ve rendered their very useful app useless through greed.
