About TB Reverb
With its close to a hundred adjustable parameters, the integrated LFO for parameter modulation, integrated compression and gating, and its shimmer reverb module it is by far the most flexible and configurable reverb on iOS.
The ToneBoosters Reverb app captures the microphone input and processes the signals in real time. To use it as a plug-in, use an AUv3-compatible host app such as Steinberg Cubasis, Apple Garageband, Audio Evolution Mobile Studio, Auria, AUM, or others. ToneBoosters Reverb will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins.
Key features:
- Studio-grade reverberation including early reflections
- The same professional sound as the acclaimed desktop version
- Full control over room size, width, density, depth, mass
- Integrated spectrum analyser showing direct and reverb simultaneously
- Integrated equalizer to shape the reverberation character
- Ability to modify reverberation time across frequency
- Compression, ducking and gating for dynamic reverberation effects
- Flexible, beat-synced LFO that can modulate almost everything!
- Dual pitch-shift shimmer module for out-of-this-world reverberation

What you should know:
- Licenses acquired for this platform are not compatible with other platforms.
- Audio Unit (AUv3) extensions require an iPad mini 2, iPad 4 or later models.

Fairly priced
I got this under $10, and relative to the other options on iOS, this is fairly priced. It’s the cheaper alternative to Pro-R2 which is the hands down best option on iOS. And both are fairly neutral, all-purpose reverbs, though this does have a shimmer option. Sorta like EOS2 is the cheaper alternative to the Eventide reverbs for more ambient work. I also like the reverbs in THU. We don’t have many choices vs on desktop. I’m happy I got this as it does have a different sound, quite neutral and unobtrusive. I think the initial preset is about as good as it can sound if you’re wondering. It has a very nice almost Fab UI, the one issue is the output is about 6dB lower than I’m expecting even with wet 100%. Easily worked around but makes it harder to shoot out vs other options quickly in AUM or wherever. I like their Reelbus tape and the bit juggler and the free metering plugins as well. I have yet to try their other offerings.
