* 2008 Version
Applicants for naturalization with a filing date before December 1, 2020, will take the 2008 version of the civics test. During the test, the applicant will be asked up to 10 questions and must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test.
* 2020 Version
Applicants for naturalization with a filing date on or after December 1, 2020, are required to take the 2020 version of the civics test. During the test, the applicant will be asked up to 20 questions and must answer 12 questions correctly to pass the 2020 version of the civics test.
* 2008 Version
Applicants for naturalization with a filing date before December 1, 2020, will take the 2008 version of the civics test. During the test, the applicant will be asked up to 10 questions and must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test.
* 2020 Version
