You can keep track of multiple classes of trips (Business-1, Business-2, ..., Business 2000). You can authorize the app to auto-track trips or you may enter your trips manually.
In the auto-track mode, the app automatically records trips in the background. When the app is launched, any detected trips will be presented and you can classify these trips. The app does not track current location while trip is in progress and hence this should be very easy on your device battery. Night driving time is also automatically calculated based on starting location. You are able to edit the estimated distance (if you took a longer route) and save the trip.
Beware that it takes a few minutes for the app to show your last trip after you reach your destination. This is to avoid false positives (for example: you may have stopped at a traffic light). If you drive occasionally, for best results, be sure to enable auto-detect before you start your trip and wait to turn it off after it has recorded your trip.
Due to the way IOS authorizes background location, your first trip will result in a permission request alone. The app will start showing from second trip onwards.
You may also add trips manually. Pick the end points on a map and enter the start and end times. App uses the start location to calculate night driving time. You can also add notes to each trip.
TrackMiles is available free for your first 60 trips. You will have to purchase a monthly or yearly subscription beyond the free trial.
You may be offered a promotion at the beginning of subscription. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a promotion (if offered) will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.
Your trip data is saved in your device. If you delete the app, data is also removed and cannot be recovered.
