About Loud and Clear
Mission Statement
Loud and Clear improves a user’s quality of life by guiding him/her through a vocal exercise program designed to regain the volume and natural melody of speech to increase intelligibility and restore communication.
What is the program?
Loud and clear utilizes the microphone of a phone or tablet and provides real-time biofeedback of a user’s voice. The first part of the session contains live modeling that leads the user through vocal warm-up exercises practicing increased volume, pitch modulation, and volume modulation. The second half of the program moves the user into more functional, everyday speech practice with their recalibrated voice. Although the first portion will be the same every time a user logs in, the second portion includes varying exercises and levels of difficulty to keep the process lively and engaging.

Easy to use and accessible in my schedule
This is a valuable resource for me as I battle loss of voice communication skills due to Parkinson’s. Offering feedback of my voice volume and insightful information to help me understand. I really appreciate the opportunity to get on a zoom meeting weekly with a professional Speech Therapy Pathologist along with others across the globe.
A Curious SLP
Difficult for my Parkinson’s patients
The new version does not allow my patients enough time to repeat each sentence/phrase. My patients are on the older side and take a little extra time to read the prompt on the screen. By the time they have started reading, it tells them they are too soft. The app should allow more time like the old version where you had to click the button to go to the next exercise.
