About Retirement Analyst

Welcome to Retirement Analyst, the app that lets you chart your future with a few quick taps! Retirement Analyst performs sophisticated financial projections without your personal data ever leaving your device.

Analyst shows at a glance how your investments accumulate over time at a given rate of return, and how long they will last into your retirement at a given rate of inflation.

It's easy to use, but includes a number of powerful features to handle a variety of investing scenarios (certain features require a Plus upgrade in-app purchase). Designed for Canadian taxpayers (although useful for anyone), Retirement Analyst allows you to see in an instant the outcome of your investing strategies over time.

Even more, it can help you pick a strategy that will optimize the likelihood of meeting your retirement goals. Try various scenarios on its dual charts, or even link the charts to change investment amounts mid-life.

Whether you decide to retire early or work into your seventies, Retirement Analyst uses Revenue Canada's published figures to include CPP/QPP, OAS and GIS for most Canadians (other users should set those amounts to zero or manually enter their country's equivalent values). It has extensive built-in help pages and optional pop-up info boxes to walk you through your first time using the app.

Once you've entered a few numbers and charted your investments, you can use the 'Bullseye' Best-Fit Optimizer to immediately see your optimal retirement age, optimal investment amounts, or what maximum draw you can make on your investments to ensure they will last to a certain age.

To help offset the costs of making this app available for free to the average user, we have built in a few special features than can be purchased in-app with a small upgrade fee. Purchasers of the Plus upgrade will also be able to print or share a formatted PDF of their data and the graphed results, adjust preset default life expectancy and interest rate defaults, and enable the powerful Chart-Linking feature.

Retirement Analyst utilizes the new SwiftUI framework running on iOS 13.2 and above. It is proudly developed in Saskatchewan, Canada by Aardvark Digital Mechanics.

Disclaimer: As with any other app, Retirement Analyst cannot predict future returns on investments, inflation rates, or your personal circumstances. It uses your inputs and some adjustable default values to make projections about your current and future investing, but the results are projections, not promises, of course. Always consult a professional financial advisor before making important investing decisions.
