About Taskfulness

THE METHOD OF THIS APP:

What is procrastination?
It’s our emotions trying to balance themselves. When we feel tired, anxious, or irritated, we often get triggered to compensate for difficult emotions with effortless rewards, like scrolling or checking on our phones. Unfortunately, it only delays our problems. That is why we often feel guilty after procrastinating.

The goal of Taskfulness is to make you stop procrastinating, for good.

Our app trains your emotional intelligence skills, so you can manage those urges.
You will learn to get out of autopilot mode and control your emotions, actions, and time.

HOW IT WORKS:

When you have our app installed, choose which distracting apps it should lock
(often people lock social media, email clients, messengers, news, and game apps).
The next time you need the app, you will unlock it for a task.

THE FLOW:

- As you pick up to use a locked app, you get redirected to Taskfulness;
- There you state your emotions > reason > timer to unlock;
- You receive feedback and a task score* based on how likely you are to procrastinate now;
- Taskfulness unlocks the app and starts your timer. When time’s up, the distracting app locks again.
This mental exercise takes only 20sec saving our customers on average 45 minutes a day from unnecessary activities.

*The task score:
Strong - Taskfulness praises you and unlocks the app,
Good - provides specific advice to rethink the task,
Weak - suggests rethinking the task, reframing emotions, or picking a different task.

NICE TO KNOW:

People who use our app say:
‘…using Taskfulness, I started to think about my offline activities, too, as if the missing critical thinking voice came back”.
