Great Concept, Horrible Execution
So when I first learned about this service, it was quite exciting because the cost was significantly less than alternative rideshare options that are currently dominating the market like Uber and Lyft. I was excited to give it a try. I scheduled a ride for a certain time to go and see a performance that I had tickets for. Since I didn’t really know if the app was as reliable as the others, I gave myself ample time to get there in case any mishaps were to occur. It showed me that my ride was confirmed, and it even gave me the name and vehicle of the person who was supposed to pick me up. At the exact time of pick up, I got a notification that the ride was unfortunately canceled. So strike one I guess and I ended up taking an Uber instead. No, I decided to give it one more opportunity. I spoke to someone who told me that they had success using it and that they even were on the driving app as well, so that he gave me a sense of security that maybe now they had figured out all of the bugs since he was obviously earning money through them because he showed me his take-home rates which are significantly more generous than the traditional ride shares. So I scheduled once again to be picked up this time, for a train the Brightline to go to another city. I gave myself a good amount of time, but maybe not as much as I should have… Once again after I booked a ride, I was told that there was a confirmation of my trip. It showed me the picture and rating and vehicle that was supposed to pick me up. Then, at the time that I was supposed to be picked up, the status went from confirmed to error. Which is vague to say the least. I attempted to get some one from Support to explain to me whether this person was going to pick me up or not, and as of today, I still have not ever received a response to that text message. By the time that I was able to get an Uber to come and pick me up, I was too late for my train and I ended up missing it. So I would definitely advise against relying on this service for anything time sensitive. I have not, as of yet, managed to successfully take a ride with this app. I’ve made many attempts: even with instant rides, every time I am told that there aren’t enough drivers on the road for me to be assigned one and the app suggest that I upgrade to the next tier of service, but even after upgrading a number of times I was never able to successfully get an actual ride. It’s a shame that these people don’t have it together because if they did, I think a lot of people would use this and a lot of people would be suggesting it to their friends due to the much more reasonable price of the rides that they quote. It’s also very bad practice to set a standard of not even bothering to reply to support messages from customers. I think it is very poor form that I was never given a response to my question about whether this man was going to pick me up or not…
