Cardiac Companion helps patients with cardiovascular diseases connect with their healthcare team. As a core focus, Cardiac Companion strives to help patients maintain perfect adherence to essential heart medications, particularly before cardiac procedures where a preceding missed dose could be dangerous. Participating physicians also can provide individualized treatment recommendations that are tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances and appear in the app in an easy-to-use interface with plain language explanations.
Cardiac Companion is currently an investigational tool at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. At present, only patients enrolled in our study are eligible to use the app.
