About MyJournies

MyJournies is a Health and Wellness mobile application that serves three main purposes. The first purpose is to document a User’s fitness and nutrition lifestyle on a granular level through photographs. The User’s photo documentation will be a health and wellness ‘Journal’ for the User and also serve as a wellness roadmap for the User’s future self. MyJournies will help the User understand how his or her daily lifestyle choices affect his or her overall health and wellness over the long-term. The User will be able to visually see if he or she is moving towards his or her goal by tracking more than just weight. The second purpose of this application is to allow other Users of the application, such as health and wellness professionals, nutritionists and Doctors to understand their client’s every day habits and systems. This granular knowledge will provide extremely beneficial insight for the professionals who want to optimize a client’s overall well being. The third main purpose of Journey is to provide a social media platform for individuals to ‘lead by example' in the health and wellness community. We so often see fitness models, professional athletes, and bodybuilders, who post on a few social media platforms, as the pinnacle of health. What we fail to realize is the fact that the majority of individuals in this world do not live a lifestyle that fits a daily regimen that aligns with those types of professions. We see those types of professions publicized so often that it can sometimes have a negative effect on the outlook a person has about his or her body. After seeing these fitness gods and goddesses, people feel they could never reach a level of fitness and health that his optimal for their lives. Society desperately needs a social media platform solely dedicated to providing the average blue and white collar worker the information needed to understand what it takes to reach attainable goals with our busy lifestyles. The majority of us do not have 7 days a week to devote to working out and getting washboard abs. More power to the people who are able to devote so much of their time to fitness and nutrition. We want those types of individuals to document their journeys too. The fact is that the majority of the population have obligations and priorities in our lives that are more important than having an overall body fat percentage of 5%. We must be able to easily document health and wellness journeys in order for our society to see what is possible with consistent hard work and dedication.
