Travel through the rough ancient seas of the Mediterranean with Odysseus! Fight cyclops, monsters, gods, and much more to take Odysseus back to Ithaca. In total, there are 6 chapters, each with a final enemy that must be defeated to advance through the game.
Collect coins and crystals to help you on your journey back to Ithaca. There are 3 different types of boats within the game. A wooden boat, a stone boat, and a forged steel boat. The forged steel boat is the most durable and contains the ability to collect forcefield crystals, which give the boat immunity from objects and enemies for about 5 seconds. When enemies are destroyed coins can be collected. Coins can be use to buy green crystal power-ups. These power-ups allow players to use dominant tidal waves to defeat enemies. Don't use all your coins on power-ups however, because you need them to reload your arrows!
When all lives are expended during a game, players have the option to revive the ship at a maximum of 3 times during one game. Revives are earned by either paying coins or watching a video. Players cannot revive ships while battling the final enemy.
There is a surprise chest that can be opened once every 24 hours. When opened, the chest gives players much needed coins and power-ups for free.
Even if you don't beat a chapter, you can still see where you place on the global leaderboard. Points for the leaderboard are earned during gameplay and account for the amount of time a player lasts without destroying their ship.
