Valter Defends Sarajevo is the first film museum in this part of Europe, dedicated to the action film of the same name, directed by Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac. It is located in the Film Center in downtown Sarajevo in the vicinity of Markale Market.
Film Valter defends Sarajevo (1972), tells the story of Vladimir Perić Valter, leader of Sarajevo’s resistance movement against the occupying Nazi forces during the World War II.
Valter was killed just a few hours before the final liberation of the city defending the city’s main power plant.
