Forces you to use Apple ID
I don’t use my Apple ID to sign into anything, except Apple. I was super excited when I downloaded this app, and then I found out that you can not get past the first screen unless you sign in with your Apple ID. There is no option for a different email or a username, just Apple ID or nothing. I chose nothing, and immediately deleted the app. It’s disappointing, but if the developer was so closed-minded with their user sign-in, then the app experience probably wouldn’t be that great anyway. No one wants an app that screams “My way or the highway” on the first screen.

Pay or nothing
The app won’t even let you try the alphabet without making you pay. And it won’t let you have a free trial without agreeing to pay monthly. Of course you can cancel, but why would I even consider buying an app that I can’t even try anything for free. I understand pay walls, and I understand charging for an app. But charging for a subscription without even being able to test the app without signing on to pay monthly is a little ridiculous.
