The On Pilgrimage With Mary Ward App introduces pilgrims to the story of Mary Ward, the Englishwoman who founded the religious congregation of women now known as the Congregation of Jesus and the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto).
The App guides the pilgrim to eight destinations and over sixty sites from York and Yorkshire to London, Saint-Omer, Liège, Munich and Augsburg and finally Rome. Each site includes a description, contact details, website information and map links. Photos and commentary provide further information. Reflection material for 20 sites encourage the pilgrim to stop and listen to music and connect with their own story as it is reflected in the life of Mary Ward.
Also included is the 50 painting series called The Painted Life and a Timeline of important moments in the life of Mary Ward.
Pilgrimages can be made alone or in a small group and suggested itineraries for each destination are available from the Communications Office in Rome: communications@mary-ward.org
